Consider Filtrexx Siltsoxx For Your Next Stormwater Management Project
Silt socks are designed to allow water to flow at a controlled rate while trapping sediment. Filtrexx Siltsoxx is a three-dimensional tubular system of FilterMedia encased in Mesh. This amazing product supports stormwater management, the control of sediment and erosion, and pollutant removal Best Management Practices.
It is used in high-risk areas by diverting, cleaning, and filtering stormwater runoff which is imperative. Siltsoxx is often used in combination with other sediment control systems to create the perfect solution. The most common applications include check dams, concrete washouts, perimeter control, runoff diversion, inlet protection, slope interruption, trapping sediment, and diverse filtration systems.
For Check Dam Applications:
Filtrexx Siltsoxx is perfect for check dam applications. They are usually used in ditches, swales, and channels to protect specific areas by slowing down stormwater flow velocity and reducing bed erosion. It also filters sediment, pollutants, and other particles from the water flow. Check dams are constructed to reduce flow velocities, are very easy to construct, and require very low maintenance. Siltsoxx can be customized with different various mesh, media, and tensile strengths for a specific project and is the perfect alternative for silt fences and other rock or concrete dam systems. If your application requires pollutant removal, our EnviroSoxx product line offers a diverse set of additives that can be included with Siltsoxx in any check dam configuration.
Silt Sock Used as a Check Dam
Siltsoxx Used Slow Storm Water
The Advantages:
• Lower cost over its lifetime compared to rock check dams or silt fences.
• Available in diameters ranging from 8, 12, 18, 24, and 32-inches.
• It can be covered with vegetation for permanent applications.
• Will have easy removal and disposal.
• It's recyclable, annually renewable, bio-based, locally sourced and manufactured.
The Applications Include:
• Drainage Ditches
• Small Channels
• Swales
For Concrete Washouts:
This product is an exceptional three-dimensional tubular sediment control and stormwater filtration system designed for the separation of solids, contaminated wastewater, and sources of contaminated water including commercial, agricultural, or industrial activities. Concrete washouts are conducted on construction projects where slurries or a combination of cement and water containing Portland cement concrete (PCC) or asphalt concrete are created from grinding, coring, saw cutting and grooving. Slurries can be created by concrete trucks and other concrete-covered equipment when they are washed or cleaned on the site.
While concrete waste management is a leading part of construction projects, Filtrexx provides the Best Management Practices to handle these washout situations.
Filtrexx Siltsoxx used as a Concrete Washout
Silt Socks Containing Concrete Waste
The Advantages:
• A better solution for trapping sediment and soluble pollutants.
• Easy to remove accumulated solids.
• Trenching is not required.
• Better contact with surface areas.
• Customized to remove targeted pollutants.
• An easier increase in design height for stacking.
• Customized shapes and sizes.
The Applications Include:
• For concrete truck wash stations.
• For steam pump-arounds to move liquid out and back into a new location.
• Emergency overflow.
• Dredging slurry filtration.
• Manure lagoon slurry filtration.
For Inlet Protection:
Filtrexx Soxx technology is the perfect solution to filter runoff water around a storm drain or curb inlet. Our products will prevent sediment, debris, and other elements from getting into a storm drainage system. Water is temporarily pooled or ponds behind the inlet protection. It allows deposits of suspended solids, sediments, and soluble pollutants such as phosphorus and petroleum hydrocarbons to filter out from runoff water as it passes through the organic structure.
If the removal of pollutants is mandatory, our EnviroSoxx line offers a variety of additives that can be included in the Soxx design to guarantee the performance you are looking for. Preventing silt concentration in inlets, storm drainage systems, and receiving channels is what EnviroSoxx does best!
Silsoxx Protecting Storm Drain
The Advantages:
• The emergency overflow prevents flooding.
• It's easy to maintain, replace, and repair.
• Will not have to remove storm grade to install.
• Will reduce ecological footprints recycled, bio-based, locally manufactured, local material.
• Flocculants are available to promote the clumping of particles such as for treating wastewater.
• Pallets are available.
• For high-traffic areas, heavy-duty Soxx™ is available.
The Applications Include:
• Around drain inlet areas.
• In front of curb inlets.
• A curb sediment containment system.
• Around storm drain systems.
• Receiving channels.
For Perimeter Control:
Perimeter Control is a process of sediment control Best Management Practices (BMP) which acts as a barrier to retain sediment on a construction site. In general, perimeter control refers to sediment control products located at downgradient boundaries of a construction site.
They are an excellent sediment control and stormwater filtration system used as a silt fence replacement for perimeter control, filtration of sediment, and soluble pollutants. This includes phosphorus and petroleum hydrocarbons on or around construction areas. If you need the removal of pollutants, the EnviroSoxx line can include diverse add ons for each individual application.
The purpose of installing a sediment control system is to slow down and hold water flow, filter runoff, and promote the settling of sediment by way of ponding behind the sediment control device. The Filtrexx Perimeter Control is specifically designed and planned as a system taking into consideration the entire site to guarantee you get the performance you need. Contact us and let us help you with your next sediment control project.
The Advantages:
• 50% more capacity in design and flow through than silt fences.
• There is No Trenching and No Disturbance.

The Diversion Of Runoff:
Runoff diversion is the Best Management Practice used to redirect stormwater runoff from areas at high risk of flooding or eroding stabilized areas, storm inlets, conveyance systems, containment areas, or for stormwater treatment systems.
Filtrexx Siltsoxx is designed to control sediment and filtration system that's used for the upslope of disrupted areas. As a diversion of runoff, Soxx™ technology helps to redirect excessive surface water from one area and disposed of in another designated area.

• Use before the installation of erosion control practices.
• Use before the establishment of vegetation coverage.
• Use before final soil stabilization.
• Perfect for habitat or ecological restoration.
Traps Sediments:
Filtrexx is a sediment trap system that is temporarily built as dry pond detention for capturing sediment and settled solids in runoff from soils in areas that are less than 5 acres. The Filtrexx Sediment Traps are used to capture sediment and settle suspended solids from detention pond outfalls or overflows. Sediment traps are used at outlets of stormwater diversion structures, slope drains, construction site entrances, channels, and other areas. Sediment traps can be altered to or retrofitted for use as a permanent stormwater detention system.
The Advantages:
• There is no need for excavation, disturbance of land, or pond construction.
• Easy to alter to fit more kinds of waterbeds or drainage areas.
• No trenching or soil disturbance is required.
• Easy to remove and dispose of.
